SPIRITUAL ABILITY

What is an individual's most valuable possession? Is it his health, his home, his property, his security? Important as each one of these is, the student of Christian Science answers this question with a conviction, born of experience and demonstration, that the capacity to reflect and express God is his most valuable possession.

Mary Baker Eddy unlocked the treasures of the Bible when she wrote the Christian Science textbook. "Science and Health with Key to the Scripture." Through this pure Science many are finding the glorious truth that man is spiritually created and therefore possesses perfect spiritual ability.

This priceless possession becomes manifest in human affairs as we understand our relationship to God as His reflection or idea. The fact that we cannot see God physically does not make Him any less near. The spiritual truths contained in the Bible and the Christian Science textbook enable us to commune with God. To talk with God is to pray. And to pray is an important part of our spiritual ability. Christian Science makes plain that God is Mind, and that there are not many minds of varying degrees of talent for good and evil, but only the one divine Mind, God, good.
