Church Dedications

Note: Christian Science churches are dedicated only when free from debt.

The members of Christian Science Society, Wallace, held dedication services yesterday in the morning and afternoon. During the services a brief history of the... church was read.

In 1900 two students began reading the Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly, which consist of excerpts from the Bible and "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, in their homes. Gradually others joined them. Later Wednesday evening testimony meetings were held in the office of one of the students. Finally, it was necessary to rent a hall for their meetings. As the congregation increased they obtained the Congregational Church for Sunday afternoon services.
