Through the application of...

Through the application of Christian Science I have had harmonious experiences of childbirth. In each case the birth took place so easily that it surprised those in attendance.

One of the children at one time had a prolonged earache and then began to lose the sense of hearing. Prayerful work was taken up by a practitioner, and the hearing came back; but one morning, while we were preparing for a picnic, a lump appeared behind the child's ear. My husband called the practitioner and asked if we should go ahead with our plans. The practitioner helped us to realize that the only gathering that could really occur must be a gathering for good, and we went ahead with the picnic, which was entirely harmonious. In a few days the lump disappeared and with it every trace of the inharmonious ear condition.

For this healing and main others which prove the efficacy of God's law in overcoming difficulties, I give thanks. I sincerely appreciate the consecrated practitioners, who are ever alert and willing to help. Words are inadequate to express my gratitude for our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, through whose untiring efforts we have our practical religion of Love and its textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," which contains a wealth of potent truths. For membership in The Mother Church, for membership and the privilege of serving in a branch church, and for the most useful experience of class instruction, I say, "Thanks be to God, the Giver of all good."—(Mrs.) Dorothy Yeats Fox, Hopkins, Minnesota.
