I wish to express my gratitude for all the blessings I have received through the study and application of Christian Science. At one time I was healed of pneumonia almost instantaneously. I was breathing with great difficulty and feared that I was passing on when my wife asked me to repeat Mrs. Eddy's hymns with her. As I did so, the fear lessened, the breathing became easier, and in a few hours I was healed.

At another time, while at work, I fell backward a distance of several feet, striking my back on a sharp object and injuring myself in such a way that I was unable to move without intense pain. Due to the insurance regulations of the company for which I was working at the time, I was told that I would have to be taken in an ambulance to the hospital for X rays. However, before the ambulance came for me I managed to contact my wife, who immediately telephoned a practitioner for treatment.

The Science work was so effective that the X rays showed nothing wrong. The pain disappeared in a few hours, and the next day I was released from the hospital as entirely well. During this time I had no treatment other than Christian Science, and the hospital authorities were very co-operative in complying with my wishes in this matter.
