THE PEACE OF GOD

"My peace I leave with you," the Master said;
"It is not of the world this peace I give."
There is no surcease from the world's unrest,
But in the kingdom where God's children live.

The peace of God—his message comforts still
The weary, troubled heart that seems to dwell
With grief and pain, yet hears his words and knows
That heaven is here and now, and all is well.
