Looking back over my many years of study in Christian Science, I realize that I have much for which to be grateful. I did not take up the study of this Science for healing, although I was considered frail. From childhood I had wanted to know more of God.

One day I prayed, asking God to show me how I could be of greater help to my fellow man. Soon afterward I moved to the home of the woman who took me to my first service in a Church of Christ, Scientist. I came away walking on air, for I knew I had found Truth.

Our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, tells us in Science and Health (p. 66), "Trials are proofs of God's care." Through many trials I have had proof of God's help. Lost articles have been found, a home has been established, childbirth has been harmonious, warts have been removed, and bowel trouble, children's diseases, and a badly infected hand have been healed. The joy of joining a branch church has meant much spiritual growth for me.
