EVIL OVERCOME

Could any event in human experience be more richly satisfying than the overcoming of evil with good? Surely here is a work to which every individual may dedicate himself with his whole heart, for there can be no material riches that are comparable to those which come as the result of seeing evil destroyed.

How can evil be overcome? By understanding that it is not an entity. Its falsity was best described more than nineteen centuries ago by Christ Jesus, whose dominion over evil proved that he understood its nothingness. The Master, speaking of the devil, or evil, said (John 8:44), "He is a liar, and the father of it."

Today Christian Science, in exact agreement with Jesus' teachings, once again demonstrates the power of God in the deliverance of men and women from sin and disease in their various forms. It shows that evil is indeed a falsity, propagating itself only through mankind's acceptance of it as true. It reveals and proves that evil is nothing, because God, good, is All-in-all.
