The greatest blessing that has come into my life is Christian Science. In the Bible we read (Matt. 6:33), "Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." Many blessings have been added unto me during the years I have studied and applied the teachings of Christian Science. As I went along, daily proving these truths, my human conditions improved.

"Truth has a healing effect, even when not fully understood" (Science and Health by Mary Baker eddy, p.152). I have proved this in my home many times. When a young student of Science, I was healed of sinus trouble in one treatment. At the time I did not understand how quick and powerful is the Word of God and how impersonal and far-reaching is the healing work. I was in great pain and called a friend to help me. She was not in the office, but a gentleman answered the telephone. I asked him if he would help me, which he very kindly agreed to do, and I was healed. How truly wonderful is Truth!

I had been suffering for a long time from periods of mental depression. These were sometimes of short duration; at other times they lasted for several days, and they seemed to come upon me without cause or reason. One day I decided that this condition had to be healed. I was led to a sincere and alert practitioner who uncovered to me that my trouble was due to false theological beliefs. These had been very strong in my thought during childhood and previous to my coming into Christian Science. Unconsciously I was fearing them and doubting my ability to overcome the thought of punishment for turning from orthodox theology to the truth of Christian Science. As this error was exposed to the light of Christian Science and metaphysical work continued, the error disappeared into its native nothingness, leaving me entirely free.
