"OTHER FOUNDATIONS THERE ARE NONE"

That human progress must rest upon a sound spiritual foundation is shown by many statements throughout the Bible. Paul said (I Cor. 3:10, 11): "According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation.... For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ."

In the teachings of Jesus we find definite instructions for establishing our understanding on a firm foundation and for following our Way-shower to realize salvation. He pointed out three steps for scientific procedure, as follows: Turning to God for guidance, listening for our answer, and obeying His directions. This counsel was given when he said (Luke 6:47), "Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like."
