Church Dedications
Note: Christian Science churches are dedicated only when free from debt.
Big Spring Weekly News
Big Spring, Texas (Society).
Members of the Christian Science Society will hold dedication services of their new church edifice, 1209 Gregg, Sunday morning at 11 o'clock. Regular order of readings will be heard.
A brief history of the local chapter reveals interest in Christian Science first began in Big Spring in 1910. A few years later services were held in private homes until the number of the group increased and they moved to the Odd Fellows Hall. Later services were held in the City Federation Building then located on the Court House Square.
