In 1926 a testimony of my healing of hemorrhoids and of chronic constipation appeared in the Sentinel. These healings were the beginning of my study of Christian Science, and I have sought no other means of healing since that time.

The following demonstration of the power of Truth is given in humble gratitude for another physical healing which I have had and for the spiritual growth which has resulted. One Wednesday evening, after I had attended an inspiring testimony meeting, I drove home; and before putting the car in the garage I attempted to lift a box from the baggage compartment. My foot slipped off the curb in such a way that I sprained my ankle and was thrown flat on the pavement. I found myself saying over and over again, "God's idea cannot fall out of infinity."

A neighbor who was passing by helped me to rise, and I was able to put the car away and go into the house. I retired immediately. The pain was severe, and because of the shock which resulted from the fall I could not control the quivering of my whole body. I worked in Christian Science as best I knew how throughout the night.
