I am deeply grateful for the privilege...

I am deeply grateful for the privilege I had of attending the Christian Science Sunday School and for the protection and salvation the teachings of Christian Science bring. I had many proofs of healing as a child. Straightening of crossed eyes was accomplished by the metaphysical work of my grandmother, a student of this Science.

Mrs. Eddy writes (Science and Health, p. 174), "Whoever opens the way in Christian Science is a pilgrim and stranger, marking out the path for generations yet unborn." How grateful I am to our Leader for this opening of the way, and to the many early workers in Christian Science who stood steadfast before error's resistance and took Christian Science to their communities!

I am grateful for Mrs. Eddy's definition of "children" in the Glossary of Science and Health (pp. 582, 583) and for the many healings that our children have had. Infantile paralysis, which tried to attach itself to one child, was proved, with the help of a faithful practitioner, to be a lie, without cause or effect. What appeared to be a broken arm experienced by a child was instantaneously healed when work was taken up by the same practitioner.
