My introduction to Christian Science...

My introduction to Christian Science was through the reading of a copy of The Christian Science Monitor which had been given me. I am most grateful for this and for many healings and the solving of human problems through the help of Christian Science.

"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths" (Prov. 3:5, 6). When I was willing to give up a human sense of power and trust in God alone, a harmonious adjustment of a complex business problem was brought about. A large acreage which had been confiscated through a mistake made by the government was restored to the owner. To human sense this had seemed impossible. However, through realization of the truth of Mrs. Eddy's statement in Science and Health (p. 95), "Error of any kind cannot hide from the law of God," I was led to present the facts to the government involved and to consult a lawyer who was interested in Christian Science. We held to the spiritual fact that divine law is always operative. In a short time invaluable information which we needed unfolded, making possible contacts which led to the return of the property. Much resentment and a quick temper were overcome.

I am very grateful for membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church and for all our periodicals, as well as for the privilege of class instruction from a consecrated student of Mrs. Eddy's. I also wish to express deepest gratitude to our practitioners for their loving, faithful work and unfailing trust in God.—(Miss) D. Elsa Harrison, Kings County, New Brunswick, Canada.
