All students of Christian Science are in a good, successful business; this business is the giving business. We give thanks to God daily and hourly for His goodness.

The giving of testimonies at Wednesday testimony meetings and the contributing to the authorized periodicals afford us opportunities to give of the good we have received. I could enumerate many healings experienced by members of my family and myself, but the following one stands out in my thought.

One evening about two years ago I was seized with a terrific pain which seemed so severe that I was unable to sleep or to think, and by the next morning I was hardly conscious. A practitioner was called, and she came to see me. She sat by my bed for perhaps two hours, lovingly reminding me of God's presence and of all the love that had come to me and mine through the study of Christian Science. I quietly went to sleep, and when I awakened, the pain was gone, and it never returned. For several days I appeared quite weak, and I did not get out of bed for perhaps another week. During this time the practitioner continued to work for me, and gradually the complete healing came.
