The study of the Bible in the light which Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy throws upon it has so enriched my life that I feel a written testimony of gratitude is long overdue. While I have always been grateful for an early training in a home where the Bible was held in high esteem, I grew to young womanhood with a very confused sense of Deity. It was not until I took up the study of Christian Science that questions regarding God and creation were satisfactorily explained.

Several years ago I experienced a physical healing which has always stood out to me as definite proof that "only through radical reliance on Truth can scientific healing power be realized," as Mrs. Eddy so lovingly tells us on page 167 of our textbook, Science and Health.

For several days I had experienced pain and soreness in my right arm, and then I discovered what appeared to be a good-sized growth close to the underarm. I sat down and tried to read and work as we are taught to do in Christian Science, but with each passing hour the fear increased and the physical condition became more aggravated. Never in the years that I had been a student of Christian Science had mortal sense argued so vehemently that it would be best to submit to a medical diagnosis, that it would be perfectly all right to find out what this would be called in medical terms, and then to continue with Christian Science treatment.
