Christianity often has been portrayed incorrectly as the religion of sadness,... declared Dr. Hunter. ... "The Christian religion is not inspired by a melancholy man. Jesus was no 'pale Galilean.' He was radiant with joy," the minister told his congregation....

Speaking on "The Joy of Living," Dr. Hunter voiced his opinion that Christianity is a joyful religion, one that "opens with joy over the birth of Jesus."
