GUIDE ME, LORD
Guide
me, Lord, that I may steer
My own course straight and without fear.
Keep me, Lord, from watching, too,
What other mariners may do.
Here at my own helm I stay
Watching, learning to obey.
One cannot steer another's bark.
Taking eyes from off the mark
Is dangerous: and I have found
My ship may drift, or run aground.
I know when I am led by Thee
My voyaging is safe and free.
