THIS DAY

This day is more to me than just
Another mortal measure;
My day is never limited
For aught but idle pleasure.
This day will only bring me nearer
To my timeless being;
Infinity enfolds this day,
And light brings clearer seeing.
This day holds only good for me,
Unfoldment of perfection;
No plan of mine can interfere
With God's divine direction.
For if I keep my watch and wait
For that bright mental dawning,
I find that all around is light;
It is already morning.
