Over thirty years ago I suffered great pain from a condition of my eyes, and knowing nothing of Christian Science at the time, I consulted a well-known eye specialist, who pronounced the difficulty to be cataracts. He told me that unless I consented to an operation, I would lose my sight.

In the meantime I had been given some pamphlets on Christian Science, and after I had read them and attended a few church services, I went immediately to a Christian Science practitioner and told him of the situation. I asked for help, which he lovingly gave me.

I bought a copy of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy and a Christian Science Quarterly and diligently began to study the Lesson-Sermons in the Quarterly. After I had received four treatments I was completely healed of the cataracts and laid aside glasses which I had worn for years. I have never worn them since, and my eyesight is very good. Later, when I returned to the specialist to show him what had happened, he was greatly surprised, and after examining my eyes he pronounced the condition healed.
