"A CITY ... SET ON AN HILL"

Spiritual understanding makes one who has it "a city ... set on an hill." It gives him an inspired and illumined awareness of the Christ, or truth of being, and it also brings with it a responsibility for him to think from that elevated and spiritual standpoint in such a way as to operate as light for the whole world.

In this hour of humanity's great need, every earnest student of Christian Science should ask himself: "Am I thinking from that grander outlook of infinity? Is my thought of such a character, so big, so loving, and so compassionate as to include and benefit the entire human race? Is my thinking alertly taking cognizance of the human picture today and the evil intention of so-called mortal mind, and through spiritual realization nullifying its purpose to enslave mankind; or is my thinking perhaps revolving around just a human sense of my body, my home, my family, or even the confines of my own community?" These are indeed questions that each one of us must seriously consider.

What is my spiritual contribution today?
