My first healing in Christian Science...

My first healing in Christian Science was of the smoking habit, which for some time I had tried without success to control through human will. Finally, the continuing enslavement became unbearable, and I turned to Christian Science. The healing was immediate and has been permanent.

At another time a problem of long standing was met through our interest in The Christian Science Monitor. A piece of residential property listed with available realtors for over a year was still unsold. Discussing the matter with a practitioner, my wife and I were told to realize that supply and demand are ever equal. A talk by The Christian Science Monitor Advertising Representative at a business meeting of our branch church caused me suddenly to realize that I should advertise through our great newspaper, and I immediately took steps to do this. Before the advertising representative had time to forward the advertisement to the Publishing Society, however, a new realtor telephoned me that the house next to our property had changed hands and that the new owner wanted our place to enlarge his home. We arranged a most profitable cash deal.

During a recent five months' tour of California in a trailer, my wife, our three children, and I camped in parks, deserts, and mountains, and panned for gold through the historic gold fields of the mother lode. Though we seldom knew where we would stop, we always were aware that wherever it would be, God was there and that He had prepared His place for us. Inevitably, unerringly, we were led to more satisfactory camp sites and made more satisfactory acquaintances than we could possibly have done by human arranging.
