For more than twenty years I have been blessed by reading the testimonies in the Christian Science periodicals; so it is with great gratitude that I share mine. I did not come into Christian Science for a physical healing, but for a better understanding of God and the Bible and for more knowledge of a harmonious way of life. Although I had been a student of the Bible all my life, I had no concept of its spiritual meaning. I am happy to say that through my study of this Science all questions have been answered, and I am gaining an increasing understanding of God as all-powerful and ever present.

It was not long after I became interested in this Science that I had an opportunity to prove its healing power. I had experienced a number of gall-bladder attacks prior to this time, and the doctor had said that if I ever had another one, an operation would be necessary. Later, when an attack seemed apparent and I was suffering greatly, a member of my family wanted to call the doctor, but I asked to be left alone. I prayed to know what to do, and the answer came very clearly, Here is your opportunity to see the power of Truth heal.

I called for help from a Christian Science practitioner, and an instantaneous and permanent healing resulted. I was able to eat as usual and returned to work the next day. Words are inadequate to fully express my gratitude for that healing.
