In Psalms (107:1) we read, "O give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever." It is with the utmost sincerity that I express thanks to God for Mrs. Eddy, who revealed the truth to this age.

When I was quite young, I was sent to California for my health. There I met some friends who talked to me of God and His healing power. This gave me new hope, and when these friends asked me to attend a Christian Science Wednesday evening meeting, I was happy to go. It was a revelation to me to hear of the many people being healed through prayer alone.

Later on I was invited to the home of one of these new friends. There I heard some wonderful explanations of Bible passages, and I eagerly drank in the truth. That evening I asked a Christian Science practitioner if I too could be healed, and she replied that nothing is impossible with God. She began treatment immediately, and the next morning I found I was healed of a severe back trouble and also of indigestion, which had kept me in bondage for years.
