May I take this opportunity to...
May I take this opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude for Christian Science. It has been my shield and buckler for the past thirteen years, and without this truth I should not know how to live.
I wish to tell of a healing which took place almost instantaneously. My husband and I drove out to a house in the country to look at some things that were for sale. The house was a good distance from the road, and my husband went to investigate. Since he was gone longer than I expected, I thought to join him. As I entered the door, a dog ran at me and began to bark. This startled me, and I fell sideways through an open trap door into a cellar. Falling sideways, I could not reach for the banisters. As I fell, I realized that "underneath are the everlasting arms." I believe this statement came to me from some studying I had done before taking the trip.
The next moment I felt as if a force was lifting me off the cement floor on which I landed and was seating me on the first step.
