LETTERS TO THE PRESS
from Christian Science Committees on Publication
Town Talk
Ferguson, Missouri Town Talk
I have read with much interest the letters which have appeared in your paper recently for and against compulsory vaccination and inoculation of school children. As this subject is of interest to your community at this time, may I offer the following comment:
To be considered in this question are those parents who desire that their children be excused from vaccination and inoculation on religious grounds, and in addition those who object to the practice as harmful on occasion, as shown by medical reports following mass vaccinations. On the other hand, there are many who believe in the efficacy of vaccination. In view of this digression of thought, if a way can be found whereby both sides of the question may be taken into account, should not that way be adopted as being the way of a democracy?
