Christian Science was presented to me seventeen years ago. A copy of the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, was loaned to me by friends in whose home I was living, though they were not Christian Scientists. I had wanted for many years to know more of God, and after I attended my first testimony meeting, held by a small Christian Science Society, I said, "This religion is what I need."

I was a graduate medical nurse by profession, yet I had great need of physical healing. After I began reading the textbook together with the Bible, I was healed of chronic headaches, constipation, and dislocated kneecaps. The kneecaps slipped out of joint at any turn of my body and often caused me to fall on the street. Elastic kneecaps had to he worn for support on all occasions, and I feared I should never be able to walk again without this support. After some weeks of study in Christian Science, I discarded the heavy elastic bands, and I was never aware when the actual healing took place. I have been entirely free since. Some years later, with the help of a Christian Science practitioner, I was healed of ptomaine poisoning, also of a sinus infection.

I am Chinese by birth, and I was reared in the Anglican Church of England. Many corrections of thought and life followed as I became a better student of Christian Science. Self-pity had to be cast aside and replaced with the pure joy of Soul as I found my true son-ship as a child of God. Supply was at hand when I turned completely away from the medical profession, and in the years that have followed I have never lacked for any needful thing.
