HEALING SHOWN IN ACTIVITIES OF Christian Science Committees on Publication
[From annual reports]
Kentucky
During the year, the Mayor of a large city in Kentucky invited our Christian Science church there to put on a special Sunday School program over the radio. Several denominations had been asked to co-operate in this way because of the closing of the Sunday Schools in that locality due to a polio epidemic. This Committee went to that city and put on a special program which had been approved by the Manager of Committees on Publication.
At the time we were invited to give this broadcast the local paper had announced that the ban on meetings involving children under eighteen years of age would continue for another month, but the morning after our program was given, this police ban was lifted. We like to feel that it was this program, together with the consecrated work of the Christian Scientists in the field, which brought about this healing.
