All my life I feared God, but...
All my life I feared God, but when I began to study Christian Science that fear left me and love for my Father-Mother God took its place; I knew that I was His beloved child, safe under His sheltering wing. I have gone through the wilderness many times, but God has been my rod and staff and has sustained me.
My first healing, which came while I was living in Boston, Massachusetts, in 1912, was very wonderful, I had been under the doctor's care for several years; I had had several operations on my head and nose and suffered intensely from asthma, hay fever, chronic indigestion, and constipation. The doctor was kind, but only the great Physician could heal me. After two weeks of Christian Science treatment I was free. During this time I was taught gratitude; until then I had never thanked God for health. I have been supplied in many wonderful ways, and my needs have always been met. I was healed of heart trouble and have been helped by many beautiful articles and poems in our literature.
I thank God always for the truth about Him given to us by our revered Leader, Mrs. Eddy.— (Mrs.) Elizabeth Jackson, Parkstone, Dorset, England.
