It is with sincere gratitude to our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, for having given us "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" that I write this testimony.

My first healing took place about thirty years ago when I was visiting my parents. I was stricken with grippe, or influenza as it is now called. Science and Health was on the table by my bed. My father came into the room with a box of pills and seeing the book said, "Now there is the book, and here are some pills; do as you please." With that he laid the pills on the table and left the room.

After a few moments I picked up Science and Health and opened it to page 468. The first words I read were, "What is the scientific statement of being?" I memorized the answer to that question, then fell asleep. In about an hour I awoke completely healed. I dressed and had dinner with the family. This was a new and beautiful experience for me.
