About five years ago, when first reading the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, I thought I was not remembering or understanding what I was reading. I am deeply grateful for the desire to continue reading, for I found that when there was a need, these truths flooded my consciousness, and for this unfoldment of God's abundant supply, I am truly grateful.

During this time of seeking to know God, though not aware of it until months later, I was completely healed of frequent headaches and asthma from which I had suffered for many years. I had gone to many doctors. This healing revealed that whatever the belief may be, our only need is to know more of God.

Some time ago a growth which had been beneath my arm for about fifteen years, but which never bothered me, became swollen and inflamed and quite painful. I immediately knew that this was just a temptation to believe that there is sensation in matter and that man is material, when I knew without a doubt that man is spiritual, the reflection of God; and I knew that because this growth was no part of God, it could be no part of me; that the only growth there is, is spiritual growth. I thought of calling a practitioner, but as I had absolutely no fear and knew divine Love to be omnipresent and omnipotent, I thought little more about it.
