I began the inspiring study of Christian Science after being healed of an organic disorder, which was followed by the disappearance of several other ills. I was convinced at the very outset that it is, indeed, the truth that makes us free.

While my two children were growing, we relied constantly on Christian Science. In most cased we were fully protected from the belief of contagion expressed in children's diseases, and in the two instances where our consciousness was vulnerable—those of chicken pox and measles—the difficulties were entirely dispelled within two days. Adenoids were removed through the application of Christian Science, and so-called bad tonsils were restored through Truth to a normal condition.

The deep incisions of a dog's bite were almost instantly healed, as were a case of chronic earache and periodic disturbance of the stomach. The following quotations were most helpful in hours of distress (Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, p. 427): "Immortal Mind, governing all, must be acknowledged as supreme in the physical realm, so-called, as well as in the spiritual;" and (Deut. 33:27), "Underneath are the everlasting arms." I am grateful also to have learned through the study of Christian Science that God is the only Father and Mother of our little ones.
