Mrs. Eddy tells us in the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 425), "Consciousness constructs a better body when faith in matter has been conquered." With the help of a practitioner I changed my thinking from wrong concepts to right ideas, thereby conquering error. With this accomplished I had a beautiful healing of wandering erysipelas.
Christian Science lectures have been a source of healing in my experience. A number of years ago, several days before I was planning on going to one of these lectures. I was stricken with a severe pain in my hip. The carnal mind tried to argue that I could not stand in line or sit through the lecture, so severe was the pain. The words of one of our hymns came to me (Christian Science Hymnal. No. 201),
