, as we examine the national and international problems facing our nation, we can see how prophetic were the words of Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, at the close of the last century, as found in "The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany".
"Desire
is prayer," states Mary Baker Eddy on page 1 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures.
Of
Jesus, the master Christian, Mary Baker Eddy writes, "Jesus of Nazareth was the most scientific man that ever trod the globe".
The
earnest student of Christian Science soon finds that real rest is a state of right thinking rather than of physical inaction.
The
indispensable element in Christian Science practice is total reliance upon prayer.
