It is with great joy and gratitude that I give this testimony to the enlightening and healing power of Christian Science. It was first presented to me by a relative at a time when I seemed to be wandering in a wilderness of human hopes and fears. I did not take up the study of this Science for physical healing, but I was seeking a religion which would help me to understand and use the teachings of the Bible. I know now that I was seeking God and His truth.

One of the first physical healings I witnessed came when my son was taken ill with rheumatic fever. I tried to know the truth, as stated by our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, but there did not seem to be any improvement. I sought the services of a practitioner, and all trace of the fever disappeared within two days. He has since been medically examined for the Army and was passed Grade 1.

I have had many healings through the study of Christian Science. One was of pneumonia, which was healed in twenty-four hours. I have also been healed of bronchitis, influenza, lumbago, common colds, and corns. While studying the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, I was healed of the smoking habit, of the desire for intoxicating drinks, and some false traits of character.
