Christian Science is truly teaching...

Christian Science is truly teaching me to walk with God and listen for His voice. As I look back over the twenty years that I have been seeking Truth through the study of Christian Science and see the protection from evil I have experienced I marvel at the good that has come into my life. I know now that good has always been present, but I had to be awakened to the fact. A heavy heart has been made light, abundance has replaced lack, and a great desire has enveloped me to know more and more of God. The last verse of Psalm 16, "Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore," has been a constant help. I am grateful to say that any suggestion of inharmony has been quickly met.

I could tell of many healings and experiences, but this particular one is so cherished I should like to share it with others. On a bright, sunny morning after a three-day snowstorm, I decided to go for a walk around the block. As I left my door, these thoughts came to me: I will walk with God. I will listen for His voice.

A little later I found myself about two blocks away, at the door of a neighbor. I rang the doorbell, but there was no answer. I had never walked into this home without an answer to the bell, but I found myself in the living room, calling, "Is there anyone at home?" A faint voice from a distant part of the house called, "Come upstairs, I am locked in a closet." My friend had gone to a storage closet through a door from the porch. The wind had closed the door, and she could not get out. She tried to make a neighbor hear, but there was no response. She then sat on a trunk, wrapped some rugs about her, and began to do her metaphysical work as we are taught in Christian Science. When we came downstairs, we were joyous and praised God for His answer to prayer.
