After I returned home from the First World War, I suffered for a long time from an unpleasant skin disease. Incessant itching, cracks in my skin, and eczema caused me considerable discomfort. The doctors did their best to free me from this disease, but despite their efforts and the application of ointments and X-ray treatments, I was not healed. They told me the disease was incurable. I was much depressed by their verdict.

One day an acquaintance called my attention to Christian Science. Reluctantly at first I attended the Christian Science services, but soon asked a practitioner for help. The more I studied the teachings of Science, the more contented I became, and I learned to grasp the truth. The result was that the skin disease completely disappeared, and today, over twenty years later, I am happy to testify that it has never returned.

I have been a member of The Mother Church since 1936, and my family and I can testify to many blessings brought about by the application of this wonderful teaching.
