"AS HE THAT SERVETH"

A Businessman who is a Christian Scientist finds many opportunities to put Christian Science to practical use in business affairs. In doing so he centers his thought on service rather than on personal gain. He rightfully expects good as the result of rendering good service to customers. But gain is not his primary object. In adopting the idea of service as his keynote, the businessman aligns himself with the teaching of Christ Jesus, who said (Luke 22:27), "I am among you as he that serveth."

The world-wide uncertainty in which the business world is often plunged does not appear so difficult to the conscientious businessman who is a Christian Scientist. He has a divine Principle to which he can turn with confidence, and in so doing he finds a code of conduct that he can use with success.

"Does God come into my business life?" is a question that may be asked. To one who has no knowledge of Christian Science such a question may at first seem absurd, but once he grasps the meaning of God and understands the laws emanating from God, he will find that God enters into every detail of business life as He enters into every item of righteous endeavor.
