Church Dedications

Penrith, New South Wales, Australia (Society).

The dedicationof of the church edifice of Christian Science Society, Penrith, took place on Sunday, May 14, 1950, services being held in the morning, afternoon, and evening.

On February 28, 1935, several students of Christian Science met together to organize a Christian Science group at Penrith. The first service was held on Sunday, March 3, 1935, in the Masonic Hall, Castkereagh Street, Penrith. Recognition by The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts, as a society, was received in March, 1936. With sincere gratitude the members continued to hold two services and Sunday School every Sunday. A testimony meeting was held each Wednesday.
