About the beginning of this century Christian Science came into our home. At this time my mother was suffering from what physicians called cancer and heart trouble. My brother was a minister, and I was preparing myself for the study of medicine. We were a religious family, and the rule of the house included prayer and the reading of the Bible every morning.

Through her textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, unlocked the treasures of Truth for us and set my mother free to enjoy a long and fruitful life in the study and practice of Christian Science, which was proof of the statement on page 390 of Science and Health, "It is our ignorance of God, the divine Principle, which produces apparent discord, and the right understanding of Him restores harmony." Four generations in our family have enjoyed the benefits of this healing truth, and it has been made clear to us that "divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need" (ibid., p. 494).

Our three children have been reared in Christian Science and been divinely blessed. Suggestions in the form of physical problems have been met and proved false, some instantaneously. At one time our daughter had all the evidence of measles. However, before the health officer arrived the next day, all trace of the disease was gone and the child well and happy.
