On occasion some parents have expressed the opinion that if they used the card provided for the purpose of requesting exemption of their children from disease study, both they and their children might be considered different. For this reason they have either not used the card or have been very reluctant to use it.

One such case is interesting. A parent said she was reluctant to use the card because she felt her family would have a lot to meet. Well, the answer to that one is that one does have a lot to meet—a lot of good—particularly when one stands up courageously and persistently for one's religious rights. This parent's reluctance to use the card began to disappear when she saw that she must be a good pilgrim and help push back the mental frontiers of material and medical mindedness. She filled out the card and took it to the principal of the public school where her child was enrolled. The principal accepted the card and granted the desired exemption from medical instruction. Shortly after this contact with the principal, the parent again called on him and learned to her joy that as a result of her previous call he had been aroused to an interest in Christian
