Christian Science has brought me...

Christian Science has brought me many blessings, and for all of them I am most grateful, but the better understanding I have gained of God and of man as His image and likeness has meant most to me.

I should like to tell of an experience I had during the last World War. I was in charge of a canteen and hostel for the Merchant Navy, and while on a tour of inspection I walked into a trap-door opening which led underground. I managed to save myself from going all the way down by putting out my arms and catching the floor, but to mortal sense I hurt my legs and side badly. One of the electricians who was working there helped me to scramble out, and he remarked that he did not know why I had not been killed. I knew, however. I got in touch with a practitioner at once, and work was taken up. I continued my duties and was on my feet for the rest of the evening. I took two days off to rest and do some Christian Science studying, and I went back on duty healed. I was most grateful for this healing.

I am deeply grateful to God and to Christ Jesus, our Way-shower; also to Mrs. Eddy, our Leader, for her unselfed love in giving us Christian Science.—(Miss) Ruth Willink, Seaford, Sussex, England.
