[Original testimony in French]

"To be every whit whole, man...

"To be every whit whole, man must be better spiritually as well as physically" (Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, pp. 369, 370). This statement was proved true in my experience.

Several years ago an eruption of the skin appeared on one of my feet. At first I did not think it very important because it gave me no pain and only bothered me periodically. In time, however, the condition manifested itself more often, and it was uncomfortable and painful. I worked in Christian Science as best I knew how, but obtained no appreciable results. Then I asked a practitioner for treatment. The trouble lessened, but it did not disappear, and in a short time it reappeared in a more aggressive and violent form.

A conflict of interests had separated me from members of my family. I resolved to end this inharmony and give up not only that which was in dispute, but that which was not asked for as well, knowing that God alone is just, that it is He who supplies our needs and establishes true brotherhood. The nails, which had been deformed, grew perfectly normal again in a few months, and every trace of the disease disappeared. The demonstration was complete, and all that I had given up, so that my family relationship might not be impaired, was returned voluntarily to me almost at once. This healing, which took place several years ago, has been permanent. Shortly after this demonstration I became aware of the connection between the two problems, when I realized the significance of our beloved Leader's statement (Science and Health, p. 419): "A moral question may hinder the recovery of the sick. Lurking error, lust, envy, revenge, malice, or hate will perpetuate or even create the belief in disease."
