For thirty-six years I have read the testimonies in the Christian Science periodicals, and they have been a great inspiration and support to me, and my testimony is submitted with the hope that it will be helpful to others.

On page 177 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy we read, "The evidence of divine Mind's healing power and absolute control is to me as certain as the evidence of my own existence." I can agree with this statement, for I too have had many proofs of the truth of Christian Science and of its power to heal every discordant phase of human experience.

When I began the earnest study of Science and Health I was not consciously seeking a physical healing, but an understanding of God as "a God at hand" (Jer. 23:23). I was burdened with the care of a family of small children and with insufficient income to meet our needs. I had been a member of an orthodox church and a very earnest worker for many years. I believed in God and prayed to Him for light and help, and my prayer was answered when Christian Science came into my life.
