THE REWARD IS SURE

In Christian Science we learn that God is the author of good only, a God of love, who blesses and protects. The prophet Habakkuk tells us that He is "of purer eyes than to behold evil."

The loving Father in His divine wisdom requires the fulfillment or fruition of every right work, whether this work has been done within the past five minutes or took place years ago. Good is never lost, and every realization of Truth has behind it spiritual power to enforce it.

The writer had an acquaintance who had a brief visit one day with a Christian Science practitioner. In their conversation the Scientist spoke of our loving Father-Mother God and of His perfect reflection, man. The non-Scientist said that he could accept and appreciate the explanations given. However, he soon forgot both the practitioner and the healing message. Several years later he was stricken with a serious malady and was in a critical condition. When all material means failed to heal him, he suddenly remembered his visit with the Christian Scientist and recalled the statements of truth which had appealed to him at that time. He pondered them prayerfully for a few minutes, then found himself instantly and permanently healed.
