No change in changeless God; man always His reflection

"THE SUNLIGHT OF TRUTH"

After several cloudy, dull days, how wonderful it is to waken some morning and see the sun shining! The world seems a better and a happier place, and problems somehow are less formidable. And does not one's desire to get out and enjoy the sun's generous warmth, like the spontaneous turning of plant and flower to the sunlight, typify mankind's innate yearning for and response to God, the source of all light and good?

We have been educated to realize that the sun is always shining, even when the physical senses tell us otherwise. By its very nature, it can do nothing less. How foolish it would be to pray for the sun to shine when obstructing clouds come between it and the earth! It is always shining, and its full-orbed radiance is manifested undimmed when the clouds disappear.

Airplanes that ascend above the clouds find pure, bright sunlight. Just so, an understanding of Christian Science enables us to leave obscurity for clear vision. As we see the unreal, illusory nature of the clouded mortal sense that manifests itself in sin, disease, and death, we no longer concede reality to them. Our thought is lifted to behold the ever-unfolding, perfect, spiritual ideas of God, Mind. We then find ourselves enjoying a clear, bright vision of God, man, and the universe as harmonious and eternal.
