Beverly takes herself in hand. The effect on Great-aunt Jenny

LETTING THE FATHER LEAD US

[Of Special Interest to Young People]

Beverly and her mother were spending the summer with Great-aunt Jenny. Some young folks had invited Beverly to go with them to a lake in the mountains for a holiday of boating and swimming. Beverly was delighted, but Great-aunt Jenny disapproved, for she thought it much too dangerous.

Beverly's mother was a Christian Scientist, and Beverly went to a Christian Science Sunday School. But Great-aunt Jenny did not know anything about the teachings of Christian Science. Thus she did not know that God is always protecting His children.

Beverly, forgetting that it was her duty to show Great-aunt Jenny that a Christian Scientist always strives to reflect Love, burst into tears, saying, "I think I am old enough to decide for myself."
