THE COMFORTER
"Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing."—Psalms 30:3.
Then
dance, my heart, and turn away from tears;
The Comforter with love has set me free.
From out the depths of mourning I will flee
Until the dawning brightness round me clears
My thought. The truth within my heart appears
And frees me from despair. Ah, now I see
That death is nothingness. Nor can it be
A force to plunge one's life beneath its fears.
We live in Love, forevermore alive.
It was my blinded sense that did not know
This simple fact of being one with God.
But now I know that nothing can deprive
Us of our Father-Mother God. And so
I lean upon the comfort of His rod.
