"Elias truly shall first come." Spiritual fact destroys false concept
DISCERNMENT OF THE SPIRITUAL FACT
"Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things" (Matt. 17:11). In "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" Mary Baker Eddy gives this definition of Elias (p. 585): "Spiritual evidence opposed to material sense; Science, with which can be discerned the spiritual fact of whatever the material senses behold; the basis of immortality."
Christian Science shows mankind how to reverse the false testimony of the material senses and thus restore spiritual consciousness—reality.
God's kingdom is the kingdom of eternity. His laws have dominion over all, and they are omnipotent and unchanging. No matter what the material senses may believe, God's spiritual universe, including man, created by Mind, motivated by Love, and governed by Principle, is here and now the only true fact.
