THE HOUR OF VICTORY IS A WATCHFUL HOUR

When the waters of the great flood had assuaged, Noah and his family stepped out of the ark onto the dry land. Through obedience to God, Noah had weathered the deluge and could at last find respite from the dangers that for many days and nights had beset him.

Spiritually interpreted, the story of Noah and the ark has a profound significance. Its meaning is made clear to the student of Christian Science through a study of the Bible and the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, especially in connection with the metaphysical interpretation of the words God, Noah, ark, dove, wind, Shem, Ham, Japhet, and Canaan, as given in the Glossary.

It is not, however, with the account of Noah and his ark that this editorial is particularly concerned. Its purpose is to draw attention to Noah's subsequent experience and the lesson to be learned from it.
