Christian Science was presented to me over thirty years ago at a time when I was much in need of its blessed healing. I had suffered for many months from severe pain in my side, and I felt at times that life was not worth living. The family doctor told me that he had done all he knew how to do and that my only relief would be an operation. I asked God to help me—to show me the way to go. I wanted to live long enough to see my two children able to take care of themselves.

Then a Christian Scientist asked me to give Science a trial. I did not know at the time what this Science was, but I was willing to try it. She asked a practitioner in another city to help me, and in a short time I felt like a new person. I was so happy to know I was well again. All pain was gone, and from that time until now there had not been any return of this trouble. In Isaiah (65:24) we read, "And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear."

I have had many healings through Christian Science, such as of headaches, severe bodily pains, colds, burns, and throat trouble. I was also healed of a serious case of rheumatism. For several weeks I was unable to walk, and for a week or so I could not turn myself in bed, the pain was so severe. With the faithful work of a practitioner I was permanently healed. Christian Science has been my greatest blessing, and it has also wonderfully helped members of my family who have accepted it.
